PDO Thread Lifts

Threading is a safe and effective technique that involves introducing threads under the skin to stimulate collagen and tighten the skin. The threads are made of polydioxanone (PDO), which dissolve after 6 months and has a lasting effect of 12-18 months.

The threads have an immediate mechanical lifting effect and will continue to stimulate your own collagen over the next few months. Therefore the optimum results are expected 3 months later. Excellent for Lower & Upper Cheeks, Forehead/Brows, Neck & Jawline, Nose to Mouth Lines And Marionette lines.

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

• Avoid wearing make-up before the treatment to reduce risk of infection
• Avoid anti-inflammatory medications (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen or diclofenac) for at least 5 days prior to treatment unless it is prescribed for a medical indication.
• Avoid alcohol 48 hours prior to treatment as this increases the risk of bruising and bleeding.
• Arnica may be taken 5 days prior to treatment to lessen the risk of bruising.

POTENTIAL SIDE EFFECTS OF PDO THREADS

• Pigment changes – avoid the sun at least 4 weeks post treatment
• Further treatment might be required to achieve the desirable results

 POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Avoid tanning machines and direct sunlight and apply spf 30+ sunblock when going outside
• You may gently wash your treated area starting from the same day as your treatment but avoid rubbing or massaging the face for at least two weeks.
• Reschedule any dental appointments for at least 2 weeks after your treatment
• Stinging or pulling discomfort is normal
• Take a break from strenuous exercise for at least a week
• Avoid Radio Frequency or heat producing devices like cosmetic laser treatments for at least 10 weeks
