An in-depth consultation will be performed with each client in a confidential setting in order to assess suitability and manage expectations. Photographs will be taken to monitor progress.
The injection may feel uncomfortable depending on the area treated. Pain is very much an individual response and everyone may feel differently about it. Most preparations are formulated with a local anaesthetic to provide a more comfortable treatment.
Results are immediate after the treatment. However there maybe localised swelling or less often bruising which should settle within a week.
Every procedure involves a certain amount of risk, and it is important that you understand that risks involved. An individual’s choice to undergo a procedure is based on the comparison of the risk to potential benefit. Although the majority of patients do not experience these complications, you should discuss each of them with your practitioner to make sure you understand the risks, potential complications, and consequences of dermal filler injections:
• Bleeding
• Bruising/Swelling
• Infection
• Lumpiness
• Discolouration
• Rarely granuloma formation
• Vascular occlusion
These include
Pregnancy/Breastfeeding
Infected skin area e.g. cold sores/cellulitis etc
Anticoagulant (e.g. Warfarin)
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen
Known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or any of its excipients e.g. Lidocaine
Please note, never stop any prescribed medication without informing your doctor.
Avoid high intensity exercise immediately after and for a further 24 hours.
Avoid touching or rubbing the areas injected
Avoid alcohol consumption on the same day
Avoid hot environments on same day (Sauna/Steam rooms’ hot bath)
Drink plenty of water following days after the treatment.
Sleep on the back for the first night after facia treatment.
Full effect will be seen around one week
